is a Zapotec (Bi’ Xtidxa’) third-year undergraduate student at Northwestern University from Koreatown, Los Angeles, California.
Passionate about improving healthcare access for communities with diverse needs, she explores the intersection of user experience, participatory design, and culture. By focusing on how health is considered in the context of each community, such as with their environment and relationships, Kimberly reflects on communities’ knowledge systems in hopes of co-building accessible solutions across digital and physical design experiences.
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies (Health Communication) and Cognitive Science, with a minor in Native American and Indigenous Studies and a certificate in Human-Computer Interaction.
